Mindy Furano is a Canadian writer who attended the UCLA Professional Program in Screenwriting. Gaining writing connections and exposure in both New York and Los Angeles via her Twitter account, Mindy's online work and Tweets have been featured on Ellen, College Humor, Funny or Die, Buzzfeed, The Chicago Tribune, Playboy, Mandatory and Huffington Post. In 2013, Mindy was scouted to write for MTV's Nikki and Sara Live (shortly before the show ended), and in 2015, she was approached to work for Comedy Central’s late night comedy game show, “@ Midnight”.

Mindy has conducted celebrity interviews for CBS Man Cave, and local satirical interviews for SooToday. Her comedic video editing has been featured in Earwolf podcast promotions, and her joke writing was featured in the successful Skybound party game "Red Flags". 

In 2023, Mindy’s TV Comedy Pitch “SELF CARE” made the top 1% in Screencraft’s Virtual Pitch competition. The project made top 8% of all discoverable projects featured on Screencraft.

“SELF CARE” focuses on the mental and financial crises that force two childhood best friends back to the hometown they escaped from. The women rekindle their friendship, and think up a get-rich-quick scheme for locals in the name of “SELF CARE.”
